Joe Barrington is a full time sculptor who grew up and still lives in the same small west Texas town of Throckmorton.  He has an BFA from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls.

Joe is an active member of the Texas Sculpture Association as well as the International Sculpture Center.  He has participated in many large scale outdoor shows in Texas, California, Arizona, New Mexico, North Carolina, Tennessee and others.  His works are in many public and private collections with recent acquisitions by The Old Jail Art Center in Albany, Texas and the Museum of the Southwest in Midland, Texas.  Joe has also participated in over 50 juried, invitational, one man and group shows.

The primary body of his work is welded steel, representational sculpture this is narrative in nature.  He is currently working on a series of small pieces that combine found objects withe fabricated pieces.
