Artist Statement

Child-like exploration, anthropological discovery, and mysticism are what stitches together my work. Through re-interpreting iconography from the African diaspora, language and movement and the reference of living elements, I explore ways to preserve what has been (history) while conveying our connections to the now (present) and what can be (future).
